What a difference 6 months make

Yes, it's been 6 months since I last posted.  It is not that I haven't been doing anything Drupal, or have given up n learning, or just decided to stop writing.  It's because I have a tendency to get "tunnel vision" and when that happens time slips away from me. I will try to do a recap over the trial and tribulations  have had with regard to Drupal.

Productive couple of months

I have been a bit distracted the last couple of months.  As they say, "time flies when you're having fun," and that has been the case for me.  I have been to busy with things to remember to come back here and write about my experiences.  I have had the distiction of starting my first colaborative Drupal project during the last month and a half.  I have been teamed with another developer on a simple Drupal site, not very complicated, and not very lucrative financially, but it's value is more with training and learning to use some of the tools Drupalers use for projects, collaboration and site version control.  This is something that has not been covered in my limited Drupal experience.

These tools are such things as

Always do your Data Base Updates!

I had every intention to begin reporting on my experiences during MidCamp but not long after returning to "normal" that things got busy again (with Drupal).  I am on my class reunion committee where I also maintain the website (http://ProvisoEast72.org, which I have been happy to do pro-bono for the experience) and received an email from Bob.  Apparently he is writing a book and wished to add a survey for his research.

Been Productive

I have got a lot done since my last post.  I have 1 site that has gone live (MadameWiladina.com) after 4 months work.  It is an online store that sells lingire.  So far the feedback has been very positive.

The other website I am working on is a site that is another online store. This one is for selling artwork.  As with the MadameWIladina site, this one is using Commerce Kickstart2.  They do look a lot similar (since I used the same default template for both sites) but under the hood both sites are quite a bit different.
