Drush 7 for Drupal 8

Over the last couple of weeks I have started playing with Drupal 8.  So far it's been a pleasant experience (surprisingly) though originally I had issues with getting it installed.  I tried using drush dl but it would not work (when used it would only download the latest version of Drupal 7).  Turns out Drush 6 (the version I was currently at) does not support Drupal 8.  Inorder to run Drush with Drupal 8 we have to upgrade Drush to version 7.

What a difference 6 months make

Yes, it's been 6 months since I last posted.  It is not that I haven't been doing anything Drupal, or have given up n learning, or just decided to stop writing.  It's because I have a tendency to get "tunnel vision" and when that happens time slips away from me. I will try to do a recap over the trial and tribulations  have had with regard to Drupal.

Productive couple of months

I have been a bit distracted the last couple of months.  As they say, "time flies when you're having fun," and that has been the case for me.  I have been to busy with things to remember to come back here and write about my experiences.  I have had the distiction of starting my first colaborative Drupal project during the last month and a half.  I have been teamed with another developer on a simple Drupal site, not very complicated, and not very lucrative financially, but it's value is more with training and learning to use some of the tools Drupalers use for projects, collaboration and site version control.  This is something that has not been covered in my limited Drupal experience.
